Tesho Akindele struck a hat-trick to help Dallas thump San Jose Earthquakes 5-0 at the Buck Shaw Stadium this morning.
The Texans hit the front on the half-hour mark through Fabian Castillo, who scored for the 10th successive Dallas outing to give his team the lead.
The Colombian turned provider to set up Akindele, who tucked his effort beneath goalkeeper Jon Busch to double their lead two minutes before the break.
San Jose should have reduced the arrears before the whistle, however, when Chris Wondolowski fired a penalty over the bar after Victor Ulloa fouled Perez Garcia.
It proved to be a costly miss, as Akindele doubled his tally on 58 minutes, before Castillo followed suit and bagged his brace to effectively end the game as a contest.
However, there was still time for the Canadian - who had only scored four times for Dallas prior to the trip to San Jose - to secure his treble on 86 minutes to cap a five-star display.
