Paul Dickov angered by Doncaster Rovers loss

Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov slams his team after seeing them lose 3-0 at home to Bradford City.

Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov has hit out at his players following their 3-0 defeat at home to Bradford City.

Donny conceded three goals in the second half at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday as they saw their League One playoff hopes suffer a damaging blow.

Dickov believes that an "embarrassing" performance from his side gifted Bradford the victory.

"I am more angry than disappointed, but I have to give Bradford a lot of credit," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We made unbelievable and embarrassing mistakes for their goals and it gave me plenty of food for thought, not only for this season, but next season also.

"I get embarrassed sometimes asking my teams to work hard, but I shouldn't have to ask them, it should be a given. If I leave people out now, not one of them has an excuse to come knocking on my door."

Doncaster return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Sheffield United in the league.
