Paul Dickov disappointed with Ipswich Town defeat

Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov admits he was disappointed that two set pieces contributed to their 3-0 defeat to Ipswich Town on Boxing Day.

Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov has admitted that his players made it "far too easy" for Ipswich Town during their 3-0 defeat at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Ipswich scored twice from set pieces during the opening 30 minutes of the match, but Dickov believes that Rovers will still "comfortably" avoid relegation from the Championship, despite falling to 20th position in the league table.

The 41-year-old told reporters: "We can work on tactics and formations, but you can't legislate for two players switching off at a set piece. Especially against a big, physical team. You can't expect to come back from that.

"It was far too easy. I've been loathe to blame the injuries in recent weeks but it is taking its toll. We want to stay in this division, I still believe we will do that comfortably."

The setback against Ipswich was Doncaster's fourth defeat in a row.
