Leighton Baines expresses his delight at the way Everton bounced back against Fulham yesterday afternoon.

Everton full-back Leighton Baines has hailed his side's attitude during yesterday's 2-2 draw away at Wigan Athletic.

The travelling Toffees twice trailed their hosts but battled back to claim a share of the spoils at the DW Stadium.

Reflecting on Everton's performance, Baines believes that they showed all the credentials of being a top team.

"If you want to stay up near the top end of the league you've got to keep taking points when maybe you're not at your best and it was important that we took a point," Baines told the club's official website. "It shows that we've got character.

"There will have been times maybe in the last few seasons where we may not have come away with anything, so it's a decent point in the end."

Baines scored Everton's second equaliser from the penalty spot with 87 minutes played.
