Everton midfielder Phil Neville has accepted a coaching position with the England Under-21s.
The 35-year-old will join youth coaches Brian Eastick and John Peacock to prepare the side for their European Championship qualifier against Belgium on Wednesday.
A vacancy in the backroom staff became available after Stuart Pearce took over the senior side on an interim basis.
Neville, who has won 59 caps for his country, has said that he would like to go into coaching once his playing career ends.
