Roberto Martinez seeks Nikica Jelavic replacement

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that he will be seeking a replacement for Nikica Jelavic before the end of the transfer window.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has said that he will look into replacing Nikica Jelavic before the end of the January transfer window.

The Croatian international completed a move to Hull City earlier today, leaving Romelu Lukaku and Arouna Kone as the only recognised strikers at Goodison Park.

"It would be an area that we are looking at before the window closes," the Catalan told Evertonfc.com.

"We are looking at the options to see if there is a player with the right profile who would fit into the squad."

Kone has been missing since November with a long-term knee injury.
