France manager Didier Deschamps warns his side not to write off Georgia when the sides meet in this week's World Cup qualifier.

France manager Didier Deschamps has told his side to be wary of Georgia ahead of Friday's World Cup qualifier between the two teams.

The former Marseille boss believes that their Group I opponents are capable of posing a threat despite their status as underdogs.

"Before the game, I never think it's going to go wrong," he told reporters. "I get myself in the pattern of preparing my team to get a good result. But it is football; they still have a small chance.

"But it mostly depends on who will be the strongest team [on the night]. Georgia have done good things. Beyond footballing skills, they have quality morale.

"Against Spain, they nearly pulled off a very good little result. We are aware of the qualities of their team."

France, who are second in Group I on goal difference, face leaders Spain just four days after the Georgia clash.
