Half-Time Report: Fulham in control against Blackburn Rovers

Goals from Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele give Fulham a 2-0 lead over Blackburn Rovers at half time at Craven Cottage.

Fulham have headed into half time with a 2-0 lead over Blackburn Rovers in the Championship following a dominant first half at Craven Cottage.

The home side broke the deadlock less than four minutes into the tie when Moussa Dembele powered past the Blackburn back four before cutting the ball back for Ross McCormack, leaving the striker will a simple tap in from close range.

Fulham could have doubled their lead shortly after when McCormack tried to volley past Jason Steele after Tom Cairney slotted the ball through, but the keeper was able to deny him a second, while Dembele fired over from a McCormack cross a couple of minutes later.

Blackburn's first sight of goal came just over quarter of hour into the match when Ben Marshall set up Nathan Delfouneso, who tried to rifle the ball in from near the penalty spot, but he could not beat the keeper.

The Cottagers struck again on the half-hour mark as McCormack crossed the ball in for Ryan Tunnicliffe, who saw his header parried clear by Steele, only to set up Dembele to chip in from the rebound.

Blackburn started to look more threatening in front of goal towards the end of the first half, but Delfouneso and Marshall both saw their shots turned away by Andy Lonergan.
