Fulham manager Martin Jol has lauded summer signing Dimitar Berbatov as the best striker the club has ever had.
The 31-year-old joined the club in August after falling out of favour at Manchester United.
Jol, who managed the Bulgarian at Tottenham, is in no doubt of his quality.
"It was a big transfer for this club," said Jol. "He is probably the best player we have had here up front.
"Hopefully he can fulfil the expectations and people will see that he has good quality.
"It's mixed feelings [after the transfer window] because we lost a lot of players in midfield. Hopefully Berbatov can change the disappointment."
The Dutch boss has already confirmed that Berbatov will start against West Brom today, with Fulham looking to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat to West Ham before the international break.
