Kit Symons: 'Fulham were resilient'

Fulham manager Kit Symons admits that Blackburn Rovers made it uncomfortable for his side in the second half of their Championship clash at Craven Cottage.

Kit Symons has said that Fulham had to be "resilient" to hold on for a 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.

Goals from Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele put the hosts ahead in the first half, but Jordan Rhodes got Blackburn back into it from the penalty spot, before the visitors twice hit the woodwork and had a shot cleared off the line, which Gary Bowyer's side claimed was in.

The manager told Sky Sports News: "It was an uncomfortable second half. Andy Lonergan made some important saves and they put us under huge pressure. They are a big side, it was tough, we had to be resilient.

"We gave away a very soft penalty which gave them a lift, the non-goal was a tough call but I am not going to apologise for getting a bit of luck."

The result moves Fulham up to 11th in the table.
