Report: Ray Wilkins to take Fulham coaching role

A report suggests that Ray Wilkins will take on a coaching role at Fulham.

Ray Wilkins has reportedly agreed to join Fulham's coaching staff as manager Rene Meulensteen plots a route to safety in the Premier League this season.

The Whites were hammered 6-0 by Hull City on Saturday, meaning they have taken just six points from their last 11 games and sit 18th in the table.

According to the Daily Mail, Wilkins, who was in charge of the West London side for a short spell between 1997 and 1998, is on his way back to the club to help the Dutch coach.

It is part of a reshuffle that saw Alan Curbishley appointed as technical director last week.

Wilkins has been without a job in football since leaving Chelsea in 2010.
