Wesley Sneijder believes that leaving Inter Milan for Galatasaray in January was a step forward for him.
The Dutch midfielder points out that he will play in a Champions League quarter-final this week, while the Nerazzurri are struggling to finish in the top three in Serie A.
"I don't want to say anything about the Nerazzurri," he told reporters. "I will just say this - see where I am? I have to play a Champions League quarter-final.
"I am very happy at Galatasaray, we have a great squad and I settled in very well. Coming here was a step forward, not back."
Galatasaray are in Spain to take on Real Madrid in the first leg of their quarter-final tie on Wednesday.
