CFR Cluj have held Galatasaray to a 1-1 draw in their Champions League clash at the Turk Telekom Arena.

The Romanian outfit took the lead against the run of play in the 20th minute, when Dany Nounkeu turned the ball past his own keeper Fernando Muslera.

The hosts were given the chance to level the scores from the spot in the 35th minute when Laszlo Sepsi handled inside the area.

However, Felipe Melo's spot kick was saved by Mario Felgueiras.

Galatasaray finally got back on a level pegging when Buruk Yilmaz got on the end of Nourredine Amrabat's cross in the 77th minute.

Umut Bulut and Melo were guilty of missing Galatasaray's best chances as time ran out.
