Gian Piero Gasperini hails Genoa's "best performance of the season"

Gian Piero Gasperini says that his Genoa side showed "great character" to come from behind and beat Udinese in their Serie A match at the Stadio Friuli.

Genoa manager Gian Piero Gasperini has claimed that his team produced their best performance of the season during their victory against Udinese.

The Rossoblu recovered from conceding an early goal to claim a 4-2 win in their Serie A match at the Stadio Friuli.

"I think this was our best performance of the season," Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia.

"Considering the way it started, conceding a goal within 30 seconds, we did well to turn things around and if anything could've finished it off earlier. I saw a real step forward today and great character."

Genoa moved up to fifth in the Serie A table following their victory.
