Bayer Leverkusen manager Sami Hypia makes three changes for this afternoon's home match against Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen manager Sami Hypia has made three changes to his side to face Hamburger SV in an effort to shore up his defence.

Following last week's 3-2 defeat at Hannover the manager has dropped Manuel Friedrich, Daniel Carvajal and Stefan Reinartz.

Omer Toprak, Sebastian Boesnich and Jens Hegler all come in to start for the Bundesliga's second-placed side.

Hamburg have stuck with an adventurous side for the trip to the Bay Arena, naming Artjoms Rudnevs and Son Heung-Min in a two-man attack.

Leverkusen: Leno, Hosogai, Wollscheid, Toprak, Boenisch, Hegeler, Rolfes, Bender, Schürrle, Castro, Kiessling

Hamburg: Adler, Diekmeier, Mancienne, Westermann, Lam, Skjelbred, Badelj, Arslan, Aogo, Sun, Rudnevs
