Hearts exit administration

Scottish Championship side Hearts exit administration after almost a year of being run by accountancy firm BDO.

Hearts have officially ended their time in administration following the recent purchase of the club.

Glasgow-based accountants BDO had been running the outfit, who were relegated from Scottish Premiership last season, since June last year.

However, businesswoman Ann Budge's £2.5m takeover has ensured the team's future, allowing the Court of Session to end their spell in administration.

Hearts entered administration, which resulted in them being deducted 15 points last season, after running up debts of £25m.
