Heracles beat NAC Breda in relegation six-pointer

Heracles beat NAC Breda 3-1 in a huge match at the bottom of the Eredivisie to leave their opponents facing the prospect of a relegation playoff.

Heracles prevailed 3-1 in their bottom-of-the-table clash with NAC Breda this evening to move six points clear of the relegation playoff places.

Breda remain 16th in the standings, three points adrift of SBV Excelsior in the last safe position, following their ninth home defeat of the season.

Heracles raced into a two-goal lead after 23 minutes as Ramon Zomer added to Bryan Linssen's ninth goal of the campaign.

Breda, who were on a five-match unbeaten run, pulled one back prior to half time when Demy de Zeeuw supplied Mats Seuntjens for a 38th-minute reply.

De Zeeuw and Adnane Tighadouini had chances to bring NAC level before Jaroslav Navratil secured the points for Heracles with a 71st-minute third.
