David Wagner admits to being unhappy with Davy Propper for his "dangerous" tackle on Jonathan Hogg in Huddersfield Town's 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner has hit out at Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Davy Propper for his "dangerous" tackle on Jonathan Hogg.

The Terriers are left sweating on Hogg's fitness for the rest of the season after losing the 29-year-old to injury in the 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Propper led with his studs in a 50-50 challenge, forcing his opponent off the field after he initially attempted to play on, only adding to Wagner's list of injury concerns.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after the match, the German boss said: "We have to make a first assessment. We hope it's not as serious as the tackle looked, to be perfectly honest.

"Usually I don't like to say or give any comments but last week we lost Elias Kachunga for three months after a harsh tackle [by Newcastle United's Kenedy] and this was another one. I accept aggression and to fight for each ball, but this is too dangerous."

Hogg has started 24 of Huddersfield's 33 Premier League matches this season, while also featuring once from the bench.
