Steve Bruce: 'We can take confidence from Chelsea display'

Hull City boss Steve Bruce insists that his team can take a lot of belief from their display against Chelsea into their remaining matches in the campaign.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has expressed his belief that his side can take a lot of confidence into their remaining matches this season following their display against Chelsea.

The Tigers battled back from 2-0 down to level the scores against Jose Mourinho's men at the KC Stadium, but eventually went down to a 3-2 defeat as Loic Remy netted late in the second half.

However, Bruce is upbeat over his side's chances in their upcoming games starting against Swansea City next week.

Bruce told the club's official website: "Whether you're playing teams up near the top of the table or near the bottom, each game is just as difficult.

"People are saying we have a tough run coming up, but if we were playing the bottom five in the division, would it be any easier at this stage? I'm not so sure.

"Whoever we play, the one thing we know is that we have to play well. We played well last weekend and came within a hair's breadth of getting something against the best team in the country. We know we have to keep at it and we should take confidence from our performance last weekend because we were terrific."

Hull are 15th in the Premier League, three points clear of the relegation zone.
