Hull City sneak away with MK Dons win

Hull City record a 2-0 win over MK Dons thanks to goals from Ahmed Elmohamady and Mohamed Diame.

A first-half goal from Ahmed Elmohamady and a last-minute effort from Mohamed Diame has given Hull City a fortunate 2-0 win away at MK Dons in the Championship.

Dons had the better chances of the two teams but Elmohamady converted Abel Hernandez's low cross to give Hull the lead.

Josh Murphy looked strongest for Dons and he tested Alan McGregor a number of times, as well as stretching the Tigers defence to set up efforts for his teammates.

Simon Church saw a shot palmed away before Antony Kay looped a header onto the roof of the net.

Murphy dragged a long-range shot wide as MK Dons ended the game strongly but Diame struck with a header one minute from time to secure the win.

Hull City cement their second place in the league while Dons sit one point above the relegation zone in 20th.
