Aaron McLean: 'I would consider loan move'

Hull City striker Aaron McLean reveals that he would be open to leaving the club on loan should the Tigers accept an offer from a Football League outfit.

Hull City striker Aaron McLean has admitted that he would be open to leaving the club on loan if he can't break into the squad at the KC Stadium.

McLean has made just one appearance in the Premier League this season, and while he would prefer to remain in Yorkshire, the former Peterborough United forward has revealed that he would consider any offers to move to another team on a temporary basis.

The 30-year-old told the Hull Daily Mail: "If the club wanted to loan me out, then it would be something that I would consider.

"But first, I need to work hard for myself and be in the best condition. I'll have a look in the next few weeks and I'll speak to the management and find out if that is something that they are looking at.

"First and foremost, I want to get into the first-team squad and play Premier League football. That's always been my goal and that hasn't changed. All I can do is work hard in any game where I'm given an opportunity."

McLean has also seen his season disrupted by a knee ligament strain that kept him out of action for six weeks.
