Tom Huddlestone has admitted that he 'does not know' whether he will stay at Hull City beyond this summer.
The 29-year-old was part of the Tigers team that overcame Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship playoff final on Saturday to secure a return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
However, the central midfielder is out of contract at the KC Stadium next month and is still waiting for the club to make a decision on his future.
"I don't know. Hopefully, when I come back there will be something on the table," Huddlestone told reporters.
"It has been disappointing at times that nothing has been offered, especially when you see some of the other lads signing extensions. But the main aim was getting promotion and taking it from there.
"I spoke to the manager just after Christmas. He said if we didn't go up it might be a struggle to keep me but if we went up there was likely to be a contract available. We're back on July 4. Hopefully something will happen."
Four-time England international Huddlestone joined Hull from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.
