Diego Milito: 'Inter Milan are not a one-man team'

Diego Milito insists that Inter Milan are not a one-man team following Mauro Icardi's positive start to the season.

Former Inter Milan striker Diego Milito has rejected suggestions that the Serie A club are a one-man team.

Mauro Icardi has been a pivotal figure in the team's start to the season, having scored six goals in five Serie A appearances.

The club captain was linked with a move away from the club in the summer transfer window, but manager Frank de Boer managed to keep hold of him.

Despite Icardi's influence, Milito has insisted that Inter have plenty of quality within the team.

"We needed a performance like that and I'm pleased that the team are becoming more consistent," Milito told Inter Channel.

"Icardi finishes off Inter's moves but they're by no means a one-man team, there are some quality players in the side. [Ever] Banega is a leader on the pitch, he's a great player with real ability.

"I hope Inter can finish as high as possible, although we must remember that they're a new team with a new coach."

The club are currently fifth in the Serie A table.
