How Juventus could line up against Parma

Sports Mole looks at how Juventus could line up in Saturday's Serie A clash with Parma.

Juventus will be looking to make a strong start to their 2019-20 Serie A campaign when they travel to Parma on Saturday.

The Old Lady, who won their eighth straight league title last season, are now under the management of Maurizio Sarri following Massimiliano Allegri's departure as head coach.

Sarri will be absent from the dugout this weekend, though, as the former Chelsea boss continues his recovery from pneumonia.

Juve won 2-1 against Parma in the corresponding match last season, but the points were shared in a 3-3 draw at the home of the Italian champions in February.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.


POSS JUVE XI vs. PAR

Out: Mattia Perin (shoulder), Marko Pjaca (knee)

Juve will be unable to call upon either Mattia Perin or Marko Pjaca this weekend. However, aside from those two, the Italian champions have a full squad to choose from.

Matthijs de Ligt is expected to make his debut in central defence alongside Giorgio Chiellini, while Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot are also pushing for their first appearances for the Old Lady.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a certainty to start in the final third, although the positions alongside him are open for discussion. Gonzalo Higuain is an option after returning to the club - Paulo Dybala is being tipped to get the nod, though, even with the speculation surrounding his future.

Federico Bernardeschi is also expected to start in an attacking area, despite the 25-year-old only contributing two Serie A goals during the 2018-19 campaign.

Mattia de Sciglio should get the nod over new arrival Danilo at right-back, meanwhile, with Miralem Pjanic potentially joining Ramsey and Rabiot in the middle of the park.
