Preview: Las Rozas vs. Sevilla - prediction, team news, lineups

Sports Mole previews Wednesday's Copa del Rey clash between Las Rozas and Sevilla, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Sevilla will travel to Estadio Navalcarbon for Wednesday's Copa del Rey first-round clash against fifth-tier Las Rozas.

Las Rozas are set to appear in the Copa del Rey for the second time in three seasons after securing their place via their performance in the Copa Federacion de Espana.

After progressing from the regional tournament, Las Rozas have gone on to win three knockout games to reach the semi-finals of the national phase and secure a spot in the Copa del Rey.

In regards to their league campaign, the Madrid-based side are sitting in fifth place in group seven of the Tercera Federacion after taking 12 points from eight matches.

Las Rozas will be frustrated with the fact that they have failed to win any of their last four league games, including a narrow away defeat in Saturday's away clash with Aravaca.

With Las Rozas preparing for a glamour tie against La Liga side Sevilla, they may be able to take confidence from the fact that they have avoided defeat in each of their last six home games in all competitions.

Sevilla boss Garcia Pimienta experienced a disappointing start to his tenure, with his first six matches producing one win, two draws and three defeats.

However, the Andalusians have experienced an upturn in fortunes in recent weeks, having won three of their last five matches (D1, L1).

They claimed victories against Real Valladolid and Real Betis on either side of a draw against Athletic Bilbao, before they fell to a heavy 5-1 defeat in their away meeting with La Liga leaders Barcelona.

Sevilla ultimately produced a positive response against another Catalan side, with Dodi Lukebakio netting a brace in Friday's 2-0 away win over Espanyol, moving Sevilla up to 10th place in the league table.

They will now turn their focus to Wednesday's cup clash, and with no European football this season, Sevilla may view this campaign as a great chance to mount a bid to win their first Copa del Rey since 2009-10.

Team News

Las Rozas boss Manu Gonzalez could name a backline of Alberto Moreno, Luis Enrique Mendez, Javi Bernal and Luis Meseguer.

Having scored five league goals this season, former Rayo Vallecano forward Joselu Cano will offer one of the home side's main attacking threats.

As for the visitors, they are unable to call upon Orjan Nyland, Loic Bade and Tanguy Nianzou after they all sustained injuries in Friday's win over Espanyol.

The Andalusian side are also having to cope without the injured trio of Saul Niguez, Chidera Ejuke and Suso.

Garcia Pimienta is set to take the opportunity to make considerable changes to his lineup, with Alvaro Fernandez, Kike Salas, Lucien Agoume and Kelechi Iheanacho all in contention to start against Las Rozas.

Las Rozas possible starting lineup:
Fuertes; Moreno, Mendez, Bernal, Meseguer; Diaz, Escolano, Pascual, Losada; Cano, Lagreca

Sevilla possible starting lineup:
Fernandez; Montiel, Marcao, Salas, Barco; Agoume, Ortiz; Juanlu, Peque, Idumbo; Iheanacho

We say: Las Rozas 1-4 Sevilla

Sevilla are likely to go into Wednesday's contest with a much-changed side, but they will still have a significant quality advantage over their hosts, and we believe that they will sweep Las Rozas aside to cruise into the second round.
