Neil Redfearn takes positives from loss to Norwich City

Neil Redfearn is pleased to see an improved display from Leeds United, despite slipping to a 2-0 loss against Norwich City at Elland Road.

Neil Redfearn has revealed that he found it difficult to be critical of his Leeds United side following the 2-0 defeat to Norwich City.

Goals from former Leeds midfielder Jonny Howson and Graham Dorrans secured the points for the promotion hopefuls at Elland Road, but Redfearn admits that it was pleasing to see his players improve on the display which condemned them to a 2-1 loss against Cardiff City at the weekend.

"The performance was a lot better than Saturday," he told the club's official Twitter account. "The difference is at the business end of the pitch. I thought we played well for large spells. We just haven't got that edge.

"I've told the lads to get their heads up, we've got to go again. Norwich are up there for a reason."

Leeds return to action with a trip to the capital to face Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
