Result: Leeds United 2-1 Bristol City

Ross McCormack fires in a late winner to give ten-man Leeds a 2-1 win over Bristol City.

Ten-man Leeds United beat Bristol City 2-1 at Elland Road to pick up three valuable Championship points this afternoon.

Leeds got off to a perfect start as Robert Snodgrass set up Adam Clayton, who rifled a shot into the top left-hand corner after just three minutes.

However, Bristol quickly hit back and they were level after eleven minutes when Neil Kilkenny found the back of Andy Lonergan's net with a long-range effort.

Leeds were reduced to ten men midway through the second half when Leeds' Patrick Kisnorbo was shown a red card and gave away a penalty for violent conduct.

Kisnorbo's blushes were saved by his keeper though as Andy Lonergan dealt with Nicky Maynard's weak spot kick.

Leeds grabbed the winner after 86 minutes when Ross McCormack fired home from close range, leaving Bristol rooted in the bottom three of the table.
