Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson 'excited' by Esteban Cambiasso arrival

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson says that Esteban Cambiasso's experience could prove vital this season.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has admitted that the club are excited by the arrival of decorated new signing Esteban Cambiasso.

The 34-year-old is approaching the tail end of his career, but the Foxes boss believes that his experience will be beneficial to the Premier League new boys.

"He's been welcomed into the group, as you would expect him to be," Sky Sports News quotes Pearson as saying.

"The players have been quite excited about the prospect of having somebody of that stature in the game being alongside them. But Esteban will view himself as one of the players, one of the squad, which is a very positive thing."

He added: "Certainly if somebody comes with the wealth of experience he has, I will probably - if I've an open enough mind - continue to learn from people like him."

Former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star Cambiasso, who has been capped 52 times by Argentina, could make his Leicester debut on Sunday when the Foxes take on Arsenal at home.
