Nigel Pearson hails Leicester City resilience

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson praises his players after they came from behind with 10 men to draw 2-2 at Nottingham Forest.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has praised his side's battling qualities after they came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday evening.

The Foxes were reduced to 10 men following the sending-off of Paul Konchesky, but a late goal from Riyad Mahrez ensured that they took a point away from the City Ground.

Leicester also had to come from behind to earn a draw with Watford in their previous match.

"It is a good point for us in the sense that in the last two games we have had to work hard to get something out of the games," Clubcall.com quotes Pearson as saying.

"We were disappointed to come in at half-time a goal down because I thought for the most part we looked relatively comfortable. I didn't think they caused us too many issues so it was a little bit frustrating in that sense.

"Even down to 10 men we showed a lot of spirit. Because we have options in terms of creativity we always looked a threat. We have a very good collective spirit and capable players."

Leicester sit eight points clear at the top of the Championship.
