Nigel Pearson: "It has been a difficult adjustment"

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson concedes that it has been a "difficult adjustment" for his side to settle into life in the Premier League.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has admitted that it has been difficult for his side to adjust to life in the Premier League.

The Foxes are currently on a seven-game run without a win in the top flight after making a bright start to the campaign, which included a 5-3 victory over Manchester United.

However, Pearson has conceded that it is hard for his players to settle in a league where they can't find a regular rhythm of positive results, unlike their spell in the Championship.

He told the club's official website: "It's never easy to make that adjustment from being a side that's used to winning games and the expectation surrounding that. When you're not doing well and not winning games it's a different type of pressure. I think it has been a difficult adjustment.

"They are different types of pressure. It is always pressure in the sense that if you're winning games then the expectation is there for you to do well as it has been for us for the last decade, trying to get out of the Championship into the Premier League – that itself can be a burden of pressure.

"Let's not kid ourselves – players are always under pressure to perform as are managers to get results. The players remain in very good spirits and I have no qualms about the fact that they will improve our form, and that's the most important thing."

Leicester face Queens Park Rangers in their Premier League clash at Loftus Road later today.
