Nigel Pearson delighted with players after Liverpool draw

Leicester City manager Nigel Perason heaps praise on his side after their comeback from 2-0 down to snatch a point away at Liverpool.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has said that his side showed resilience to come back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Liverpool.

Steven Gerrard scored two first-half penalties, but two goals in three minutes from David Nugent and Jeffrey Schlupp rescued a point for the Foxes, who remain bottom of the Premier League table.

Pearson told BBC Radio 5 live: "We were dangerous, we showed our intent from the start. To come in two down was harsh. So I'm delighted for the players. They've put so much energy into the game and we showed we were a good side. A point was the least we deserved.

"We have to build on the last two results. We haven't always picked up the points our performances have deserved. But I'm pleased with how we have responded to the disappointments of the first half."

Leicester's next Premier League game is at home to Aston Villa.
