Leicester City's Nigel Pearson: 'We won't dwell on poor run'

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson says that his team will not 'dwell' on their recent difficult run in the Premier League as they prepare to face Manchester City.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has insisted that his players will not "dwell" on their recent difficult run in the Premier League as they attempt to get back on track.

Last season's Championship winners are rooted to the bottom of the table after 10 games without a win in the top flight.

However, Pearson has claimed that his players have the right mentality heading into Saturday's clash against Manchester City at the King Power Stadium.

"We've been in a difficult run for a while, so we certainly won't be dwelling on that against Manchester City," Pearson told reporters. "We deal with things when they happen, but I will always be as supportive as I can be of my players.

"We have to look at each game in terms of what we know we are capable of. I'm asking the players, to a man, to give themselves the best chance of winning the game. We need to get our performance right."

Meanwhile, Pearson will be without goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel for around six weeks as he requires surgery on a broken metatarsal.
