Leicester City 'still interested in Danny Ings'

Premier League strugglers Leicester could still pursue Burnley striker Danny Ings this month despite the impending arrival of Croatian forward Andrej Kramaric.

The impending arrival of Andrej Kramaric is unlikely to deter Leicester City from pursuing Burnley striker Danny Ings this month, according to reports.

Croatian international forward Kramaric is believed to be discussing personal terms with the Foxes ahead of a rumoured £6m switch from Rijeka.

Sky Sports News claims that Nigel Pearson would be keen to pair the 23-year-old with Ings as he desperately seeks extra firepower to aid Leicester's fight against the Premier League drop.

Despite the England Under-21 international's Turf Moor contract expiring at the end of the season, Burnley are reluctant to sell their star asset and would be particularly unlikely to do so to a relegation rival.

It is believed that the Clarets rejected a £7.5m bid for Ings, who has scored five goals in 19 appearances this season, from an unspecified Premier League club before the New Year.
