Half-Time Report: Leonardo Ulloa gives Leicester City lead over Newcastle United

Leonardo Ulloa puts Leicester City into a 1-0 half-time lead over travelling Newcastle United in the third round of the FA Cup at the King Power Stadium.

Leonardo Ulloa's late finish has handed Leicester City a 1-0 half-time lead over travelling Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup this afternoon.

Newcastle were the first side to threaten when Emmanuel Riviere broke forward into space unmarked, but the striker was wasteful as he tried to shoot from range, only to find the comfortable hands of Ben Hamer.

The hosts sought to hit back through an attack of their own, with Ulloa finding himself with time to shoot just inside the right side of the box, but he wasn't able to find the target.

Having endured a sticky patch in the first period City took the lead, with Ulloa proving clinical as he finished high into the net having been picked out by Matty James in the 39th minute, leaving Nigel Pearson's side to take a 1-0 advantage into the break.
