Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg against Barcelona at Anfield.

Liverpool have it all to do on Tuesday night when they welcome Barcelona to Anfield for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final.

The Reds went unrewarded for a positive showing at Camp Nou last week as Lionel Messi took the tie away from them in the closing stages, giving Barcelona a commanding 3-0 lead to take to Merseyside.

Jurgen Klopp's side do still have a glimmer of hope, but could be missing some key players for the crunch match as they bid to produce one of their most famous European nights.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Liverpool ahead of Tuesday's showdown.

Mohamed Salah

Status: Out
Type of injury: Head
Possible return date: May 12 (vs. Wolves)

There was huge concern for Mohamed Salah when he was stretchered off against Newcastle having taken a heavy blow to his head, with the Premier League top-scorer requiring lengthy treatment on the field. Fortunately the injury does not seem to be as serious as first feared, although he has been ruled out of Tuesday's match with concussion.

Roberto Firmino

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Roberto Firmino had a brief cameo off the bench at Camp Nou, but it turned out that the Brazilian was not quite ready to return and he was absent entirely at the weekend. Klopp confirmed after the game that Firmino will not be available for Barcelona, leaving Liverpool potentially without two of their usual front three.

Adam Lallana

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: May 7 (vs. Barcelona)

Adam Lallana's muscle problem has kept him out since the end of March and he is unlikely to be included in the matchday squad for such a big game even if he is available.

Naby Keita

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Naby Keita was forced off in the first leg of this tie with a groin injury and was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the season.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
