Midfielder Jordan Henderson has admitted that Liverpool's tie with Roma in the Champions League semi-finals is "huge" for the club.
Liverpool are yet to maintain a Premier League title challenge since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp, but the Merseyside giants are attempting to reach their second European final in three years having previously lost out to Sevilla in the Europa League in 2016.
The English side are the marginal favourites to progress past the Italian giants, and Henderson says that he hopes the two games can be "the start of something special".
At a press conference, the 27-year-old told reporters: "It's a huge moment and game. Hopefully this is the start of something special for this squad.
"The manager has been brilliant since he come to the club. We've improved every season and we've worked so hard to get here, but hopefully this is just the start for this squad.
"It will be nice to look back if we're successful here though."
The first leg of the tie takes place at Anfield on Tuesday night.
