Steven Gerrard doesn't think that he'll get another chance to win silverware with England after Euro 2012.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard believes that the 2012 European Championships could be his last tournament in an England shirt.

The 31-year-old, who will miss the Three Lions' friendlies against Spain and Sweden with an ankle infection, has set his sights on reaching the final stages of the Euros with Fabio Capello's side.

"If you put things into perspective, we've only been successful at one tournament ever and that makes you realise just how difficult it is to be successful at this level," Gerrard told The Mirror.

"But it would be nice, if this is to be my last tournament, to get to a semi-final or a final rather than come away disappointed like we have been previously.

"Going into any tournament as a player, you always take it as your last because you never know what could happen two years down the line."

The midfielder believes that age will prevent him from featuring in another international tournament beyond next summer.

"I'm 31, I'll be 32 by the time Euro 2012 comes around, so, whatever happens, I'll be treating it as my last one," he said.

Meanwhile, reports have suggested that John Terry could feature against Spain at Wembley this weekend despite expectations that he would be left out of the fixture.
