England boss Fabio Capello reportedly tells Wayne Rooney that he will be going to Euro 2012.

England manager Fabio Capello has told Wayne Rooney that he will be selected for Euro 2012, according to The Sun.

The striker will miss all of England's group stage games after he was given a three-game ban by UEFA for his sending-off in a qualifier against Montenegro last month.

However, Rooney's ban could be reduced if the Football Association choose to contest the ruling.

It is reported that Capello spoke to the 26-year-old at Manchester United's Carrington training base on Thursday to assure him of his inclusion.
