How Liverpool could line up against Manchester City

Sports Mole predicts how Liverpool could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash against Manchester City.

Liverpool will be aiming to get back to winning ways this weekend when they welcome Premier League leaders Manchester City to Anfield.

The Reds have gone three matches without a victory in all competitions to put an end to the momentum built up during their previous seven-match winning run.

Jurgen Klopp has decided against wholesale changes in the top flight and Champions League this term, but could he be tempted to freshen things up for this top-of-the-table showdown?

Ahead of Sunday afternoon's clash, Sports Mole looks at how the Merseyside outfit may line up.

Out: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee)
Doubtful: Divock Origi (hamstring), Naby Keita (back), Adam Lallana (groin)

Despite having a far stronger squad this season, Klopp has surprisingly opted against rotating his side between matches, making just one change for the midweek loss away at Napoli.

Jordan Henderson dropped out for Keita in a like-for-like change, but the skipper was required early on after Keita picked up a back injury that renders him doubtful for the visit of City.

Assuming Klopp opts against recalling Xherdan Shaqiri, the 4-3-3 setup is likely to remain, meaning a chance for Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane to finally click.

Salah has made a slow start to the campaign, but he has scored in 14 of his last 16 starts at Anfield and has also played a direct part in five goals against Man City in three meetings.
