Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that he remains unsure over the recovery time of Alberto Moreno, who has been absent since the start of December.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Alberto Moreno remains on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.

Moreno has enjoyed an excellent campaign for Liverpool, but the Spaniard was forced off through injury during the first half of the Champions League triumph over Spartak Moscow on December 6.

The left-back had initially been expected back over the Christmas period, but Klopp has suggested that Moreno may be absent until the middle of January.

The 50-year-old told reporters: "We still aren't sure. Maybe he will miss the next two games, maybe the third game. Then we have around nine days between Everton and City."

Moreno has made a total of 18 starts in the Premier League and Champions League this season.
