Brendan Rodgers pleased with cup draw

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that he is pleased to be facing former club Swansea City in round four of the League Cup.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he is pleased to be playing his former club Swansea City in the fourth round of the League Cup.

The Reds boss described the Welsh outfit as a "wonderful, brilliant club" and predicted a good atmosphere at Anfield when the two teams meet there.

"I was in no rush to leave there and would only go from there to go to another special club," The Mirror quotes Rodgers as saying.

"In this competition you prefer home games than to travel so to play Swansea at Anfield with two wonderful sets of supporters, I am sure it will be a really good night."

Liverpool booked their place in round four with a 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns this evening.
