Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says that he will not rule out a career in management, despite choosing to work in the media after his retirement.

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has insisted that he will not rule out becoming a manager in the future.

The former England international will embark on a career in the media following his retirement from playing when he takes on a punditry role at Sky Sports next season.

"I've never ruled anything out or in," Carragher told the club's official website. "I've gone down this road for a couple of years, I'll see if I enjoy it or if I'm any good at it, and see where it takes me.

"I've been playing football all my life and I'm looking forward to doing different things, and seeing where it takes me."

Carragher will play his final game for the Reds at Anfield against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.
