Kenny Dalglish is full of praise for Liverpool defender Daniel Agger, claiming that he should be considered as one of the best in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish thinks that defender Daniel Agger is "as good" as any other defender in the Premier League.

The Dane, who has suffered a number of injury woes, has helped the Reds keep a clean sheet in his last two league starts.

"[Agger's] a fantastic player and he's probably as good as anyone else in his position in the Barclays Premier League," Dalglish told the club's official website.

"He's comfortable in possession and he's a very good defender as well. He's a top defender, a top player. He played left-back for us at Stoke as well and did very well.

"It's great to have him back and I hope his fitness remains as it is for a long time."

Liverpool sit sixth in the league table, taking 19 points from a possible 33 after eleven games.
