Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish says that his side deserved their 2-0 win against West Brom at the Hawthorns.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has said that his side were worthy winners after they beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at the Hawthorns.

A Charlie Adam penalty and Andy Carroll's second league goal of the season sealed the win for the Merseysiders to move them up to fifth in the Premier League table.

"I don't want to take anything away from the players," said Dalglish. "They played really well against a team who themselves have been doing well recently.

"They made an awful lot of chances today and got two goals as a reward from it. I think they deserve the victory, they played really well, and the approach and attitude towards the game and each other was important."

The Reds next host Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.
