Fabinho says that he is happy with his first two months at Liverpool and is now eager to make his first competitive appearance.

Brazilian midfielder Fabinho has declared that he is ready to make his competitive debut for Liverpool following a two-month adaption period.

The 24-year-old has surprisingly been overlooked for selection by Jurgen Klopp during the Reds' opening four Premier League games of the season.

Fabinho, a £44m signing from Monaco in the summer, featured in all nine of Liverpool's pre-season outings but has yet to get any competitive minutes and has appeared in the matchday squad just once.

Speaking to Globo Esporte during the first international break of the season, Fabinho made clear that he is raring to go when club action resumes.

"My start has been good, good adaptation. The pre-season was very good, we had nine friendlies and I played nine," he said. "It was good to play against English teams to see what the rhythm, the intensity and the physique is like.

"I am adapting to the team's style of play. The more experienced players have helped me, the technical team as well.

"Me and my wife are liking the city, we already have a home. [Roberto] Firmino is being a great guy, his family has given a good support to me and Alisson [Becker]. It's been fine. Having Brazilians in the team helps. Now it's really to make the debut. I'm fine, training well and prepared."

Fabinho could make his debut when Liverpool travel to Tottenham Hotspur next Saturday.
