Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has reportedly suffered a recurrence of the knee injury that has restricted his number of appearances this season.

The Spanish defender missed the start of the season after he failed to shake off the knock over the summer.

He then returned during last weekend's 2-0 loss to Arsenal in what was his first Premier League start of the campaign.

However, he has since been at Liverpool's training ground at Melwood receiving treatment on the same knee, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The report has also claimed that the full-back is a doubt for next weekend's game against Sunderland.
