Liverpool to embark on pre-season tour in Thailand

Liverpool will play friendlies in Thailand, Australia and Malaysia during the pre-season.

Liverpool have announced that they will play a pre-season friendly in Thailand next month to kick off their preparations for next term.

The Reds will take on a Thai Premier League All Stars team on July 14, before travelling to Brisbane, Adelaide and Kuala Lumpur for friendly fixtures.

"With so many Liverpool fans in Thailand, the opportunity to play in the country is fantastic and the team are really looking forward to it," The Mirror quotes Reds midfielder Joe Allen as saying.

"The reception the club received during the 2013 visit was unbelievable and I am looking forward to experiencing that passion and delivering some great football."

Liverpool legends Robbie Fowler and Ian Rush will travel with the first-team squad for the pre-season tour.
