Martin Skrtel to return for Manchester United clash

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers expects Martin Skrtel to be fit for Sunday's Premier League encounter with Manchester United at Anfield.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Martin Skrtel should be fit for Sunday's Premier League encounter with Manchester United at Anfield.

The Slovakian defender is yet to play for the Reds this season as he recovers from a knee injury.

"Martin Skrtel will hopefully be fit by the weekend," Rodgers told the club's official website. "Martin returned to training with the team in the last couple of days."

Liverpool continued their 100% start to the season on Saturday with a 1-0 win at Aston Villa.
