Luis Suarez scores the only goal of the game as Liverpool move up to sixth in the Premier League with a victory over Queens Park Rangers.

Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool moved up to sixth in the Premier League table with a 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers at Anfield this afternoon.

Despite creating a number of chances during the opening 45 minutes, the hosting Reds were unable to break the deadlock, with Luis Suarez spurning two opportunities.

However, the Uruguayan did find the net just two minutes after the restart when he headed Charlie Adam's cross past Radek Cerny.

Neil Warnock's QPR found goalscoring chances hard to come by, with Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina rarely called into action.

They did have a late appeal for a penalty turned down when Alejandro Faurlin fell to the ground following a challenge from Martin Skrtel but the referee waved away their protests.

With time running out Shaun Wright-Phillips almost scored an own goal when he turned Craig Bellamy's cross onto his own crossbar.
