Kenny Dalglish: 'We're right behind Luis Suarez'

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish thinks that opposing players try to play with Luis Suarez's "mind".

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish thinks that Luis Suarez is being singled out following the Football Association's decision to charge the striker with improper conduct.

The Uruguayan international was charged by the governing body after he appeared to make an offensive gesture towards Fulham fans during the Reds' 1-0 defeat at Craven Cottage on Monday.

"He's been charged, it came in last night. I've not spoken to Luis," said Dalglish. "I've seen the picture and that's about it. We'll have a discussion with him first and decide what will happen. We'll take it from there.

"There's nothing else we can say because if we do it will be prejudicial. There's been at least four incidents that we've picked out where nothing has happened - not even a charge. We'll wait and see.

"Luis is a fantastic footballer. People find it difficult to play against him. If they cannot beat him on the pitch because of his ability, they will try to get into people's minds. And that's what they try to do."

The Scotsman insists that the Merseyside club are in full support of the Copa America winner.

"The people that have any favour towards Liverpool Football Club will get right behind Luis Suarez and give him all of the support he deserves," he added. "We are lucky that he is a fantastic footballer and he is playing for us. So we'll help him as much as we can."

The 24-year-old was also recently charged with making an alleged racist remark towards Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
